Noah and his three sons appear in two separate scenes. In the background is Noah's sacrifice and God's response (Genesis 8:20-22) In the foreground Shem and Japheth cover their father Noah's nakedness (Genesis 9:20-24). In the text this occurs in a tent, which is suggested by the risers and crosspiece on the left.
